Your customers expect you to provide a great network -- it’s the foundation for every connected home installation. A solid network foundation ensures customer satisfaction and mitigates support issues. But IP Networking is not a domain of expertise for most of the workforce in our industry. Your business benefits from more networking competency among your technicians and system designers. PCNA was designed specifically for AV professionals, giving them foundational knowledge about how networks function. PCNA arms technicians with networking fundamentals and theory applicable to any connected home network, with or without Pakedge.
Pakedge Certified Network Administrators gain a complete understanding of networking basics, network design, and configuration making them more efficient and capable. This unique course blends online coursework with practical hands-on learning using the network devices technicians install every day. The online curriculum provides the educational and technical depth while the hands-on practice ensures mastery and knowledge retention.
The six course certification program covers the following topics:
Build your first network, then use it to learn—hands-on—through the rest of the courses, starting with “a host’s-eye view” of how TCP/IP networks work.
Switches and cables don't just connect devices together. They expand a network, power devices, and streamline the movement of data within the network.
Routers do more than just connect a LAN to the Internet. They keep the bad guys out, allow secure external access to the people who need it, and define the LAN’s IP address space.
Many experienced pros find Wi-Fi the most difficult part of network design. This course shows a nearly fool-proof way to place and install wireless access points that takes care of almost any wireless networking job.
Connect your network to BakPak, and learn how to update, manage, and troubleshoot customer networks from anywhere in the world.
Plan and design networks for homes and small businesses, using all the concepts learned in the previous 5 courses.
An essential element of the PCNA course, trainees are provided with networking hardware for hands-on practical learning. The PCNA Kit includes the following Pakedge hardware and cables:
Everything included in the PCNA Training Kit, including the network hardware, is for the technician to keep. It can be installed at home for continued practice to ensure complete networking mastery.
Trainees certify by passing an online exam. The exam is conducted by a third-party proctoring service, who verify the trainee’s identity, testing environment, and equipment, and then administer the exam.
